I have a bit of a "man crush" on Mike Rowe. You know, that guy who SPAMs the Discovery channel, and man-commercials? C'mon... you know him.
So the dude has such an awesome set of gigs now, I'd give anything for a career like that.... just dicking off on camera, and do fun man stuff. But I just dig this guy's humor, and he seems like the kinda guy that you'd just knock down a few brews with, and laugh the whole time.
So I was curious to learn where he came from. How did he land his Dirty Jobs gig? What did he do before?
So what did I learn?
Not much! Ok, so thanks to Google, my research skills have atrophied to the point that if I can't find new information in the first 4 pages of a search, it doesn't exist. So I'm not really sure what else he has done, but I'm pretty sure he is the key driver to introduce the Dirty jobs concept to the Discovery channel. Previous to that, he was... a little more obscure.
Then I discovered QVC. :) QVC??? "LOL" was my first response. Then I watched one, and I ROFLMAO and had to share. It's still him! It's that same humor... only... umm... a different setting. Hah!
